Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA), a well-respected, nationally recognized and award-winning public healthcare system is seeking an Addictions Medicine Physician to join our expanding team.. CHA includes three Hospital campuses and an integrated network of both primary and specialty outpatient care practices in Cambridge, Somerville and Boston’s Metro North Region, with a fully integrated electronic medical record system (EPIC). The CHA Department of Psychiatry is recognized as a leader in patient care, teaching and research.

CHA is expanding services to address substance use disorders for our patients and communities. The expansion of services include an inpatient addiction consultation service that will serve patients hospitalized in the medical, surgical, and psychiatric units and will interface with our outpatient addiction services.  We look to hire a 0.60 FTE physician to serve as the lead consultant and educator. Join this multidisciplinary and interdepartmental team, and have the opportunity to collaborate with other departments and with our community partners in order to meet the needs of our patients with substance use disorders. 

Candidates must be BC in Psychiatry, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine and have a strong interest in Psychiatric Patients. It is preferable that candidates are either BC/BE in Addiction Medicine or Addiction Psychiatry or BC/BE in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry and possess a strong commitment to our underserved, multicultural patient population. 

CHA is a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School (HMS). This position carries a Harvard Medical School (HMS) appointment of Instructor, Assistant or Associate Professor, commensurate with HMS appointment criteria, candidate qualifications and commitment to teaching responsibilities.
