As a Carrier Sales Representative at TransJet Cargo, you will be responsible for ensuring maximum profitability by negotiating freight rates, and sourcing available carrier equipment to match with our customer’s freight. This role combines inside sales, account management and relationship building all into one job.

Responsibilities:· Provide and negotiate freight rates to carriers.
· Communicate effectively both internally and externally.
· Procurement of new carriers based on volume and lane density.
· Resolve transportation problems with urgency and professionalism.
· Developing an overall business strategy to build a book of business.
· Accurately maintain and update information in the company’s operating systems.
· Conduct research in available databases for potential leads.
· Collaborate internally with your team on pricing strategy and account implementation plans.
· Maintain strong grasp and market knowledge of shipping lanes, geography, and seasonality.
· Bridge the gap between TransJet Cargo and the Carrier to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or GED Required
· Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
· Freight brokerage or account management experience preferred.
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced working environment and multitask.
· Proficiency in Google Drive and Excel preferred
· Excellent attention to detail and sense of urgency, ability to prioritize with an emphasis on quality of work.
