Nuwellis, Inc. is a medical device company dedicated to transforming the lives of patients suffering from fluid overload with its Aquadex SmartFlow ultrafiltration therapy.

We are seeking a Clinical Education Specialist (CES) to support the Tampa/St. Petersburg, FL area including Orlando, Miami and other cities in the state of Florida. Looking for a candidate who resides in or near Tampa with the ability to commute around the state of Florida.

We’re seeking a highly motivated and experienced nursing professional with a background in ICU care to join our dynamic team. The Clinical Education Specialist position will involve travel and requires a deep understanding of patient therapy management (training provided), education, and the ability to expand our prescriber base into other therapeutic areas and modalities. Your expertise will be crucial in conducting therapy reviews, offering clinical support, and providing in-depth troubleshooting to healthcare providers (HCPs). Additionally, you will play a key role in helping HCPs identify suitable patients for our products.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate closely with HCPs to define and maintain procedural best practices that promote positive clinical outcomes and expand adoption of Nuwellis' products and therapy as directed by the company.
  • Provide educational support and training to healthcare professionals on the effective use of our products.
  • Support sales in driving business growth by increasing the prescriber base and expanding into new therapeutic areas and modality.
  • Conduct in-depth therapy reviews to analyze patient progress and recommend appropriate adjustments.
  • Offer clinical support to HCPS, addressing their queries and concerns promptly.
  • Troubleshoot product-related issues and provide comprehensive solutions to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Identify potential patients for our products in alignment with HCP needs.
  • Conduct engaging product demonstrations to showcase the benefits and features of our offerings.
  • Schedule and coordinate provider meetings to foster relationships and generated new business opportunities.
Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Registered Nursing License.
  • 5 years of relevant experience with 2 years of experience in a healthcare provider role.
  • Possess a valid driver's license to operate a motor vehicle with satisfactory driving records.
  • Ability to meet vendor credentialing requirements.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES

  • B.S. Degree in Nursing or M.S. Degree in Nursing or Healthcare field.
  • Advanced practice nursing certification or license.
  • Experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience in Heart Failure Unit, Heart Failure Clinic, Cardiovascular, CV Surgery, or ICU unit, Emergency Department, Pediatrics (PICU, NICU), or Dialysis unit in a hospital or clinic.
  • Experience collaborating with cross functional clinical partners and customers in the health care industry.
  • 2 years of experience developing and delivering medical device training in a hospital or clinical setting.
  • Ability to identify and adapt to shifting priorities and competing demands.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & TRAVEL EXPECTATIONS

  • The CES is expected to maintain regular physical presence at customer sites.
  • Travel involves regular daily driving commutes to and from customer sites and may include 50-75% overnight travel.
  • On call duties 24 hours a day, as well as after-office hours and weekends, may be required to provide customer support.

*Compensation for this position includes base salary, incentive pay, car allowance, and a comprehensive benefit package.

Base salary will range from $90,000 - $110,000 annually.
