As a Supplier Diversity Specialist , you will play a pivotal role in Charter Communications' mission to excel in Supplier Diversity. You'll manage our Tier II Program, provide executive reports, analyze strategic spend, and drive the creation of diversity initiatives. Collaboration, a grasp of Sourcing processes, and leadership in building supplier relationships are essential. Join us in our commitment to supplier diversity excellence.

WHAT OUR Supplier Diversity Analysts ENJOY MOST

  • Actively and consistently supporting all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Assisting in developing and executing annual and multi-year program plans to help Charter meet Supplier Diversity goals and continuously improving program operations.
  • Managing the Tier II Reporting Program and supporting strategies to increase the annual impact, including focusing on Tier II spend improvement, analysis, prime supplier onboarding, and general reporting management.
  • Working with Strategic Sourcing Teams to leverage identified business unit opportunities to utilize diverse suppliers, including understanding supply requirements and identifying/engaging qualified diverse suppliers for consideration in sourcing events.
  • Managing supplier development programs and tracking supplier capacity and capability growth.
  • Supporting efforts to build relationships with various local and regional diversity council organizations.
  • Attending and representing Charter at various local and national diversity conferences and meetings.
  • Coordinating event schedules and the participation of other Charter employees and Business Units (e.g., matchmaking events to identify qualified candidates).
  • Promoting Charter in the Supplier Diversity community.
  • Supporting and assisting in conducting and leading Supplier Diversity-related training sessions to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Performing other duties as requested that support the success of Charter’s Supplier Diversity Program.

As part of the Procurement Department, you will be a driving force behind the strategic sourcing and purchasing of goods and services that power Spectrum. Through strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders, we work tirelessly to bring innovation and efficiency to every aspect of our procurement process.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SPECTRUM

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Ability to simultaneously manage several projects in a fast-pace environment
  • Ability to manage competing or changing priorities or objectives
  • Ability to engage, influence and guide team members, suppliers and key stakeholders
  • Ability to travel to local and national events and activities relevant to the program
  • Advanced Data Analysis skills
  • Effective strategic analysis skills
  • Effective organizational skills
  • Effective oral and written skills
  • Effective relationship building skills (internal customers, suppliers, diversity councils)
  • Effective customer service skills and ability to build a customer-focused culture
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction
  • Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, or related experience 3+ years
  • Supplier Diversity or Diversity & Inclusion program experience 0-3 years
